Welcome, I’m Lynda
EX-MODEL | GEEK | MARKETING ENTREPRENEUR | REALTOR | MoM & NANA
Thanks for visiting my website! I’m Lynda O’Dea, the founder of NEW AGE BEAUTY. At the age of 76, my goal is to help women over 55 become your most beautiful self… mind, body and spirit, at every age. We are so fortunate to live in this new age where we can learn from one another through social media. After using YouTube at the age of 67 to help regain my physical strength and vitality, I decided to share my experiences.
As a former model, I had always maintained an aesthetics protocol. But with age, you need to be more proactive if you want to counteract some of the natural effects of normal aging. The journey I am going to share on my channels covers fitness, skincare, makeup, cosmetic procedures, at-home and in-office treatments, plus style and beauty advice for mature women who want to live their best life possible for as long as possible.

Reinvention
It seems as though I have spent a lifetime reinventing myself. As a lifelong resident of the Washington DC area where I grew up and raised a family, I had multiple careers with every decade bringing a new professional endeavor…starting as a model in the 1970’s and now into my 70′s as a real estate agent. A marketing entrepreneur at heart, I had careers in sports marketing where I developed the world’s first high-tech horse racing facility in the 1980’s with new technologies including the first computerized handicapping system and video replay libraries. Then in the 1990’s, I created the original concept and business plan for what became the first ESPN Zone in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor working with ABC Sports. In the early 2000’s, I started an online themed gift business that won a ‘best of the web’ award in 2004 working with my daughter. In the early 2010’s, I developed a DC-based real estate business LegendaryHomes.com generating over $250M in sales. Most recently, in the 2020’s, at the age of 70, I took a job as SVP of Strategy & Innovation for one of the nation’s largest real estate brokerages where I developed new programs and technologies to help real estate agents be more efficient, effective and successful.
Looking back now, I can see how these reinventions revitalized me. New challenges force us to dig down and find the inner strength to put ourselves out there knowing we might be risking potential failure. It forces us to think more creatively, act more courageously and believe that we can succeed. That ignites our passion … and passion is what fuels us and makes us feel alive. It good for our brains, our bodies and our spirits!
