Consistency Over Perfection: How I Lift My Face, My Body & My Spirits at 76
Consistency Over Perfection is the single most important lesson I’ve learned on my journey to aging beautifully. At 76, I’ve discovered that lifting your face, lifting your body, and lifting your spirits are all connected through one powerful principle: small actions repeated consistently over time. In this video, I’m sharing the exact routines, tools, and habits that help me stay strong, confident, and motivated while continuing to grow bold instead of growing old.

The Greatest Superpower As We Age
Many people believe motivation is the key to transformation.
Others think they simply need more information, better genetics, or stronger willpower.
But after years of working on my health, fitness, and appearance, I’ve discovered something different.
The greatest superpower as we age is consistency. Not perfection. Not intensity. Just small actions repeated over and over until they become part of who you are.
That’s what allowed me to transform my body in my late 60s, maintain my results, and continue improving my health and appearance into my 70s.
Why Our Brains Resist Change
One of the most fascinating things about personal growth is that our brains are often working against us.
Neuroscience shows that the brain naturally prefers safety, familiarity, and routine. That’s why so many women struggle to exercise consistently, improve their nutrition, or maintain healthy habits—even when they know exactly what they should do.
The goal isn’t to fight your brain.
The goal is to create systems that make consistency easier.
That’s exactly why I created the New Age Beauty Goal Tracker app.
The Connection Between Face, Body, and Mind
Most people think beauty, fitness, and mindset are separate topics.
I see them as deeply connected.
When we exercise, our muscles release powerful signaling molecules called myokines. These help reduce inflammation, improve mood, and support overall well-being.
When we make progress toward our goals, our brains release dopamine, creating positive momentum and reinforcing healthy behaviors.
And when we feel stronger physically, we naturally carry ourselves with more confidence.
Everything works together.
That’s why I focus on lifting my face, my body, and my spirits simultaneously.
Why I Think of the ZIIP Halo as a Gym for the Face
As we age, we naturally lose muscle tone throughout the body—including the face.
While strength training helps maintain muscle in the body, I use the ZIIP Halo to help keep my facial muscles active and responsive.
The ZIIP Halo is a microcurrent device that uses electrical currents designed to mimic the body’s natural bioelectricity. What makes it unique is its ability to deliver multiple targeted treatments through the ZIIP app, allowing you to customize your sessions based on your specific goals.
Some days I focus on:
- lifting and sculpting
- improving skin tone
- reducing puffiness
- enhancing overall facial definition
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that the results come from consistent use, not occasional use.
Just like going to the gym once won’t transform your body, one facial treatment won’t transform your skin.
Consistency creates change.
The Science Behind Positive Feedback Loops
One of the concepts I love most is the idea of positive feedback loops.
When you begin seeing results—whether it’s a more defined jawline, improved posture, increased strength, or healthier habits—your brain notices.
That progress creates motivation.
And that motivation encourages you to keep going.
This is why I always say that transformation isn’t about motivation.
It’s about creating momentum.
Strength Training Is One of the Best Anti-Aging Tools We Have
If you’ve followed my channel for a while, you know how passionate I am about strength training.
The research is incredibly clear.
Building and maintaining muscle supports:
- longevity
- posture
- balance
- mobility
- independence
- overall quality of life
Strength training isn’t just about appearance.
It’s about creating a body that continues to serve you well for decades to come.
My routine includes exercises like:
- bicep curls
- shoulder presses
- tricep extensions
- squats
- sumo squats
I also incorporate short “exercise snacks” throughout the week to stay active and maintain consistency.
Systems Create Success
People often ask me how I stay disciplined.
The truth is that I don’t rely on discipline.
I rely on systems.
Every time I complete a workout, a skincare treatment, a ZIIP session, or another healthy habit, I track it in my New Age Beauty Goal Tracker app.
That small act of checking off a completed task creates a sense of accomplishment and encourages me to continue.
Goals inspire.
But systems transform.
Consistency Over Perfection Changes Everything
The reason I continue to focus on Consistency Over Perfection is because perfection is impossible.
Life gets busy.
Schedules change.
Motivation comes and goes.
But when you commit to showing up consistently, even in small ways, incredible things begin to happen.
Your habits improve.
Your confidence grows.
Your body becomes stronger.
Your mindset becomes more positive.
And before you know it, you’ve become the person you were hoping to become.
Final Thoughts
If there is one message I hope you take away from today’s video, it’s this:
You do not need to be perfect.
You simply need to be consistent.
Whether your goal is stronger muscles, firmer skin, better posture, improved confidence, or greater overall well-being, small daily actions can create extraordinary results over time.
